Six years ago, one man moved to Bemidji in hopes of creating change and imaginative future for two schools.

Six years later, many can say he succeeded in doing that and more.

This week, Bemidji says farewell to Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College President Richard Hanson.

Some of his significant accomplishments include transforming the 75-year-old memorial hall into a business college and a fundraising campaign named imagine tomorrow, where more than 35 million dollars were raised, providing financial support and scholarship opportunities for students.

Dr. Faith Hensrud will take over as the 11th president of BSU and NTC.
