A police standoff on the Red Lake Indian Reservation has ended peacefully.

The standoff lasted more than ten hours at a home near Redby. Red Lake Public Safety officials say seven people have been taken into custody. Five of the people in the house surrendered throughout the day, and the final two were forced out of the home with tear gas.

Authorities say law enforcement did not fire any guns. One officer was struck by what Public Safety officials are calling “shrapnel”, but the officer was not injured.

Red Lake Public Safety officials say several AK-47 guns were seized from the home. The suspects arrested include five males and two females.
