Brainerd Lakes boast Minnesota’s Fourth of July Capital

July fourth. America’s Independence Day. A day filled with friends, food and fireworks. This year the Brainerd Lakes Area will be busting out all the stops to make central Minnesota the best spot to celebrate.
Meanwhile if you’re looking to get a head start on firework, Pequot Lakes traditionally hosts their firework show a day early. But they suggest getting there early because they expect a large crowd tomorrow night.
This Week Brainerd will be hosting Battle of the Bands at Brainerd High School and Show n Shine at The Body Works tomorrow capped off with their American Celebration on the Fourth. Brainerd’s celebration will include live music, corn on the cob and a parade before fireworks over the high school. Cross says the celebration about making memories.
For both parts of the Brainerd Lakes Area, it’s about showing off the best the town has to offer. And they say everyone in welcome to come and celebrate America’s Independence here.
Pequot Lakes Stars and Stripes Days kicks off tomorrow evening with a petting zoo and live music before the fireworks.
