Bonding Failure Frustrates Bemidji Leaders

Failure by officials to pass a bonding bill left several Bemidji projects behind. That news has frustrated several town leaders, including city councilman Michael Meehlhause, who is an alumnus of Bemidji State University.

Their proposed project, which would use $18 million from the state budget toward rebuilding the outdated Hagg Sauer Hall, was sixth on the Minnesota State system’s list for receiving bonding funds. It did not receive money after no bills were passed.

Northern Dental Access Center has seen the number of patients they serve grow. In their small facility, they can barely handle the crowd this trend brings.
