BHS Grad WIll Receive Teacher Of The Year

Paulette (Moudry) Krawczyk, a 1988 Brainerd High School graduate will receive the teacher of the year Award from the Arc Minnesota at an awards banquet Sept. 23 in Shoreview. Krawczyk is being recognized for her efforts as a teacher working with students with disabilities. Krawczyk teaches all-day kindergarten at St. Jerome School in Maplewood.

Before the 2015-15 school year she had no previous experience working with students on the autism spectrum. Through frequent meetings with the student’s parents and doing her own research Krawczyk went above and beyond to assist two children who enrolled in her class with autism.
