Bemidji’s Grimm Commits To Gophers

Bemidji High School baseball’s Otto Grimm announced via Twitter today he has committed to The University of Minnesota to continue his baseball career.

Grimm proclaimed on the social media site he is “Proud to announce my commitment to further my education and baseball career at The University of Minnesota.” He ended his tweet with the hashtag “#GoGophs.”

As a sophomore, Grimm batted .328 for the Lumberjacks last year, slugging two home runs with 22 RBI’s. He recorded a slash line of .328/.430/.612. He also led the team with a 1.042 OPS.

The Gophers went 36-22 last season and won the Big Ten regular season title, but dropped their first two games in the conference tournament. Minnesota received an at-large bid in to the NCAA Tournament, going 2-2 in the NCAA College Station Regional.
