Bemidji Storm Knocks Out Power

Some of Beltrami County was out of power after a dangerous storm moved through the area after midnight on Thursday.

The storm damaged trees, caused property damage and knocked out power for most of Bemidji.

As of Thursday night, just under 2,000 people were still without power between Otter Tail Power and Beltrami Electric customers. Crews are resting on Thursday night but will continue work on Friday.

Citizens are reminded to report downed power lines when they are first spotted.
