Former Sanford Center Executive Director Curtis Webb has been terminated, from VenuWorks for violating company policy related to usage of company debit cards.

Webb was recently the Executive Director of the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, IL, but was released today.

In a release sent out by VenuWorks, initial concerns originated from a personal charge on the Sanford Center debit card resulting in a full investigation into activity in Bloomington and Bemidji to determine the extent of any further unauthorized activity.

As part of the investigation VenuWorks has enacted multiple procedures. All company debit cards have been cancelled.
VenuWorks VP Russ Ferguson has been on site at the Sanford Center all this week.
VenuWorks COO John Siehl will be on site beginning Monday, October 17th.
VenuWorks Corporate Finance staff is currently reviewing all bank statements and accounting activity. Controller Mike Piehl will arrive on site on Monday October 24th to finalize the investigation.

Upon completion of the internal review, VenuWorks says any outstanding unauthorized expenses will be
immediately reimbursed by VenuWorks to the City of Bemidji.
Pending final results of the internal investigation, VenuWorks will work with the City of
Bemidji to determine if further reviews are required.

VenuWorks says that this sort of misconduct is never tolerated within our company, which is why they took immediate action to remove the Webb. VenuWorks says that they will maintain full transparency and accountability as they move forward to address this situation.
