Bemidji Chili Cook-Off Returns

For the 29th year, the United Way of Bemidji brought back its fall campaign for the community.

That also meant the return of its annual Chili Cook-Off event at the Sanford Center, which this time carried a “Day in Paradise” theme.

The best chili dishes were judged in five different sub-categories, and a best overall dish was also named. North Country Business Products looked to defend their title after winning the top prize at last year’s event.

United Way announced a pacesetter fundraiser amount of $160, 057.30 on stage for the first of many money-raising events the organization will put on in the community.
