Bemidji Axemen vs. Minnesota Sting 2-8-15


The Bemidji defense dominated this game. They surrendered only nine yards and forced seven turnovers including a fumble return by Jory Johnson in the first quarter. The TD made it 7-0 Axemen.
Bemidji posted 322 offensive yards. Starting quarterback Terrance Owens completed 6 of 8 pass attempts for 56 yards and one touchdown in only one quarter of work in the 74-7 blow-out win. The 74 points are the second most scored by the Axemen in franchise history. Backup QB EJ White completed 8 of 12 passes for 119 yards and one TD. White also ran for one touchdown. Seven different Bemidji players ran for touchdowns, including 2 TD’s by BSU alumnus Avery Walker.

The game serves as a good learning tool and measuring device. Coaches need to reduce the roster to 24 players by Saturday.
