1 Dead From Labor Day Crash in Cass County

A Federal Dam woman died in a single vehicle crash yesterday, when the van she was driving left the roadway and hit several trees.

Tracy Gale, 49, was driving the Ford Windstar van on County Road #8 in Gould Township when it crashed. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Four juveniles were transported to the Bemidji Sanford Hospital. A juvenile female was taken to Deer River Hospital and Duluth Hospital for serious injuries sustained from the crash. Their names were not given in a press release by the Sheriff’s office.

The incident was reported to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office at 4:48 AM. North Ambulance, Remer Ambulance, Deer River Ambulance, Federal

Dam Responders, Longville Fire Department and Leech Lake Tribal Police Department assisted at the scene.

The crash is currently under investigation.
